About me
Who’s behind this blog?
My name is Sujesh Pillai and I’m a software engineer mainly interested in developing microservices, iOS apps, and Java and web-based products. I care about the full stack — from data structures and system architecture to back-end and front-end work — with a focus on writing high-quality, maintainable, and reliable software. This is my personal blog where I share my thoughts, ideas, and what I learn along the way. You can reach me at sujeshbabun [at] gmail [dot] com.
My usual online nickname is Sujesh, hence the domain name suje.sh
I am originally from India, but have been living in Helsinki, Finland since 2009. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a master’s degree in Computer Science from Kerala University, India.
Most recently I’m building microservices using Spring Boot 3.x and Java 21 as part of my day job. Basically, I’m a techie who loves creating clean and maintainable software.
Resources
I have read many technical books for developers, and for a while I explored the idea of writing one myself. With the advent of AI and excellent editing tools, it is now pretty easy to start doing that. So I started writing one, and it is a work in progress: Spring Boot: The Hidden Mechanics.
If you prefer a direct file link, the draft version can be downloaded below: Spring Boot: The Hidden Mechanics (.pdf).
